Fat Transplant

A fat transplant or fat augmentation is a cosmetic procedure that involves the injection of fat cells into a specific area of the body. Fat augmentation procedures are performed to provide fullness to some specific areas of the body. These areas are mostly breasts, buttocks, and even penis. Fat augmentation procedures are considered the most performed cosmetic procedures in the world because they almost guarantee the safety of the patients.

If a person wants to undergo a fat augmentation job , the recipient areas are marked by surgeon for the procedure. Some of the areas are also designated as the fat extraction sites. Enough amount of fat cells are extracted from the designated sites with the help of areal liposuction procedures.

The extracted fat cells are later injected into the marked areas. The amount of fat are determined by both surgeons and patients. Such procedures are mostly performed according to patients’ individualized surgery plans.

Fat cell augmentation procedures are mostly safe, however, they are still cosmetic procedures and some complications are considered almost inevitable. For example, swelling is associated with almost every type of cosmetic surgery including fat augmentation procedures.

Swelling should not be considered harmful in most cases because it’s actually how the immune systems react to such cosmetic procedures. The best way to spend the early days of recovery is stay home and limit the body movements. This is the best way to prevent possible severe swelling. It occurs when the body fluids can’t gather under the skin and push the skin’s surface.

Another problem that is associated with the fat augmentation procedures is possible loss of fat cells from the injection areas. Some people claim that they’ve lost the fullness from the early days. This mostly occurs when people gain and lose weight in short term periods. You need to keep the weight balance on your body to preserve the fat cell equilibrium on your recipient area.
